This design is a collaboration between CPY and Ron Given aimed at producing a very economical displacement Powercat with performance qualities that include high standards of comfort and safety in a wide range of weather and sea conditions.
Hull form is a development of the successful 12.0m “PHANTOM” design. Layout is simple and straightforward with 2 double and 2 (or 3) single berths at lower decks, with steering station, saloon, galley and cockpit at upper deck level.

Construction of the f 10.60 Ecat is a combination of a foam and glass lower hulls with a epoxy/wood/foam/fibreglass upper structure.
Ecat will be powered by sail drive type 87hpx2 diesel motors (as tests have proven this to be a very cost effective and fuel efficient combination).The Ecat can also be modified to use outboard motors or diesel inboards with vee drive systems.
